August 25, 2026

The Peterborough Swim Club celebrated another successful season by recognizing the accomplishments of its swimmers, coaches, officials, volunteers and families during its 2025-2026 Year-End Banquet, held at The Quarry Golf Club.

The club extends its sincere appreciation to The Quarry Golf Club for hosting this year's celebration and providing an excellent venue to recognize the achievements of swimmers from across all club programs.

The evening highlighted the dedication and hard work shown by Peterborough Swim Club athletes throughout the season. Awards recognized swimmers for personal improvement, stroke excellence, age group performance, leadership, sportsmanship, work ethic and overall contribution to the club. Throughout the season, swimmers achieved hundreds of personal best performances while continuing to represent Peterborough at regional, provincial and national levels.

One of the club's most celebrated honours, the Time Drop Awards, recognized swimmers who made significant improvements to their personal best times over the course of the season. Bronze, Silver and Gold awards celebrated swimmers reaching increasingly higher levels of improvement, while Levi Jonkers received the Award of Excellence after improving by more than 300 seconds during the season. Cora Ingram and Levi Jonkers were also recognized as the club's Most Improved Swimmers.

The evening also celebrated many of the club's accomplishments from the 2025-2026 season. Swimmers established numerous new club records, qualified for the Ontario Age Group and Ontario Summer Championships, earned Swim Ontario provincial recognition, and representing the club at numerous meets throughout the season.

The club also recognized graduating swimmers Elise Furgal, Addison Hoyle, Rielle MacDougall, Clara Murison and Leilah Matamoros for their years of dedication and commitment to the Peterborough Swim Club, thanking them for their contributions both in and out of the pool and wishing them continued success in the future.

In addition to celebrating its athletes, the banquet recognized the many people who make the club successful each season, including Head Coach Kent Crockower, the coaching staff, officials, volunteers, sponsors, Board of Directors and the many parents whose support makes competitive swimming possible.

While the competitive season has concluded for most Peterborough Swim Club swimmers, the season is not quite over. Several club athletes will conclude the 2025-2026 season by competing at the 2026 Ontario Open Water Championships, taking place July 25-26 in Gull Lake, Gravenhurst.

The Peterborough Swim Club congratulates all of its swimmers on another outstanding season and thanks everyone who contributed to its success. The club looks forward to building on the achievements of this past season while continuing to provide new opportunities for swimmers of all ages and abilities during the 2026-2027 season.
