A message from our club's president, Chris Furgal, regarding the club hosting this year's 2024 Summer Ontario Youth-Junior Swim Championships.

Congratulations to the Club for pulling it off, and planning, organizing, and operating a very successful Ontario Youth-Junior Swim Championships this past weekend at the Markham PanAm pool!! It really was an incredible feat for a Club of our size and a club from outside the region to play host to such a large and important event on the annual swim calendar. Of course, it would not have been possible without incredible volunteer contributions from so many in our Club.

Andy and I would like to recognize and thank all those that contributed to the planning, fundraising, promotion and communication, smooth operation, incredible on deck officiating and swimmer award ceremonies, background administration and support, and of course the fantastic hospitality services over the past four days. We have heard nothing but extremely positive feedback, and some honest surprise, as to how such a small club from outside the region could have put on such a well organized and run provincial level championship meet of this significance.

Hopefully this past weekend, and the weeks and months leading up to it, have shown us what we can do as a Club when so many chip in (in small and large ways) and contribute to a collective cause in support of our club and swimming in general.
