Meet the 2022-2023 Peterborough Swim Club Coaching Staff

As many of you know, we embarked on a hiring process to find new coaches to join our team at the Age Group and Developmental Program/Swim School levels this past spring.  With the guidance of our continuing Head Coach, Dan, we were fortunate to find two knowledgeable and enthusiastic young coaches to help teach and coach our swimmers be the best that they can be. We are pleased to welcome Owen Cecile as our new Head Age Group Coach this year.  Some words of welcome from each of our coaches are shared below.

Welcome to the 2022-2023 season.  This year brings many changes, with a new name, new staff and many new swimmers.  This is an exciting time and presents many new opportunities.  However, the culture of excellence remains our defining tradition. Ontario and Canadian swimming set very high standards this past summer.  Peterborough Swim club looks forward to moving our program forward in tandem with regional, provincial, and national objectives.  Thanks to our members and local venues for supporting our growth and development of excellence.

Hi, my name is Owen.  I have been with the Trent/Peterborough Swim Club from 2012 to 2021 as a swimmer and then as a coach since 2017. Swimming has been my life since before I can remember, and I love doing it and love coaching. I’m excited to get back to the pool and help everyone do their best.
